The Future ... as you see it.

Where do you see the company going? There is a lot of change going on.  Is there a future in agency sales in this organization? Do they understand what they label as a "Trusted Advisor"? Platitudes are easy. Life is harder. The dynamic appears…Continue

I've always done some sort of in-house printing (envelope stuffers, flyers, postcards, you know simple stuff) using my regular laserjet printers.  Good ole 1320n; keep on truckin. But I'm at a point where I want to do more than what my little…Continue

Somebody Please Save Me From This Idiocy

Posted by Ron Tocki (San Diego, Ca) on April 4, 2014 at 2:44pm 9 Comments

Have you ever had one of those days, weeks, months, years?  I’m a pretty pragmatic person and I expect bumps in the road to surface from time to time, but for the past few years it seems that those we labor for live solely to create those bumps.  It’s getting tired and I’m getting tired of fighting with dimwits to get them to do the right thing.

Why is doing the right thing such a difficult concept to grasp?  It’s not like engineering an Indy Car, or building a space shuttle.  It’s…

DEI Expense charges

Posted by Alan Turken on March 21, 2014 at 2:54pm 5 Comments

I was recently notified that I had to pay MVR expense fee because my ratio was above 2 to 1.  I find it interesting that everyone of the MVR's that were ordered a policy was written for all but one.  Many of them were future eff for March, and most of those were bound in Feb.  This is a crazy way for Allstate to get me to pay for more expenses.  Maybe I should only write policies the day I run MVR's!

On the chopping block

Posted by DkNY on February 24, 2014 at 11:37am 5 Comments

Year-end phenomenal but even that was a stressor as I didn't really know how the end looked until my February paycheck (bonus tool nor GW ever reflected completed required #s). Last proverbial straw. The agency is on the chopping block. Took frostyone's advice, got over the indecisiveness. Now that I put a dollar figure on the agency & told another grown up about it, I'm starting to look forward to being out. Though even that is not without it stresses. Am already wondering if I put the…

Am I looking at an E&O Claim?

Posted by GA DAWG on February 18, 2014 at 4:47pm 17 Comments

Our area in GA experienced some major damage last week from the ice storm that hit this area of the country.  A claim was just submitted on a homeowner's policy in which both insureds passed away last year, claim was submitted by their daughter.  The daughter came in to our office last Sept to cancel the auto policy for the parents as both were deceased (both died in 2013).  The daughter provided death certificates for both at that time and the Letters Testamentary from the courts showing…
